Description
This exceptional piece hails from the golden era of Japanese studio glass, crafted in the historic Bentencho workshop in Shinjuku, Tokyo. Unlike common glossy glass, this vase features a sophisticated matte frosted finish, a signature technique favored by Hisatoshi Iwata to suppress external reflections and emphasize the "inner glow" of the layered colors.

The core is a dramatic collision of fiery red and deep midnight indigo, interspersed with gold-like metallic dust. Through the acid-etched surface, these colors radiate rather than reflect, reminiscent of a morning sun rising through a dense forest mist. The undulating rim and organic silhouette evoke the spirit of a Phoenix. The "栄" (Sakae/Prosperity) mark on the base suggests this was an exclusive commission, representing the height of Japan’s aesthetic craftsmanship.

本作品は、日本の現代ガラス工芸の聖地、東京・新宿の弁天町工房で生まれた至高の一品です。最大の特徴は、表面に施された繊細なフロスト（艶消し）加工にあります。岩田久利が追求した「内側から滲み出る光」を表現するため、あえて表面の反射を抑え、積層された赤と紺、そして金彩を霧の中から浮かび上がる炎のように演出しています。

「栄（さかえ）」の刻印は、当時の岩田工芸硝子が特別な祝事のために製作したハイエンド・ラインであることを示しており、量産品とは一線を画す風格を備えています。1.5kgを超える重厚なガラスが放つ静かな色彩は、単なる花器を超えた「光の彫刻」として、空間に圧倒的な存在感をもたらします。
