Description
This Hakata doll depicts Hotei, one of the Seven Lucky Gods, crafted from white clay in Fukuoka during the 1960s. With his cheerful smile, plump figure, and treasure bag, Hotei symbolizes happiness, good fortune, and prosperity. The base retains its original maker’s sticker, authenticating its origin.
The piece shows signs of age with scratches, stains, and a visible repair on the right arm, as documented in the photos. Despite the wear, it radiates warmth and cultural charm, making it a collectible for those who appreciate traditional Japanese folk art.

1960年代に福岡で作られた博多人形の布袋様です。七福神の一柱である布袋は、笑顔と大きなお腹、宝袋を持つ姿で知られ、幸福や繁栄の象徴とされています。底部には当時のシールが残されており、産地の証明となっています。
