Description
This Ko-Bizen (Old Bizen) Ko-Ibe style tokkuri was made in the Kaei era by Kimura Yosuke of the Minami-gama group in Okayama. The gourd-shaped body is adorned with finely modeled vines and leaves in relief, showing masterful handwork and the quiet strength of unglazed Bizen clay. Natural kiln tones—reddish browns with subtle firing marks—create a rustic, wabi-sabi presence that suits alcove display or a sake utensil collection.
There is a small chip as shown in the photos; considering its age, overall condition is very good. The base bears an impressed mark of Kimura Yosuke.

この古備前・古伊部様式の徳利は、岡山の南窯組・木村与介による嘉永年間の作。瓢箪形の胴に蔓と葉の精緻な浮彫がめぐり、無釉の備前土がもつ力強さと手仕事の妙が伝わります。赤褐色の肌に窯変や焼成痕が重なり、侘び寂びの趣をたたえた一品。床の間飾りや酒器コレクションにも映えます。
写真のとおり一箇所に小さなホツがありますが、時代相応に全体状態は良好です。高台脇に木村与介の印銘があります。
